Age Fluitman

Age Fluitman is a Rotterdam based architect. He received a bachelor and masters degree in architecture from the Technical University of Delft in 2001, and studied one year at ETSAB, polytechnical university of Catalunya. During his professional practice he worked in various offices in the Netherlands and Spain where he built a broad international experience in architecture and urban planning.
From 2006 till 2008, Age worked with the office of Barcelona based Manuel de Sola-Morales. Age managed the office's Dutch projects, including the prestigious rehabilitation of the seashore in Scheveningen, which is currently under implementation. This project creates a new major seafront boulevard and pedestrian zone, while at the same time strengthening the coastline defence for The Hague.
Earlier Age worked at Hulshof architecten, a Delft based office, where he was project leader of a unique renovation project in Spangen, Rotterdam, that gave an important social impuls to the neighbourhood. This project was rewarded with the Dutch National Renovation Award 2009.
Age is partner in Urban Progress Studio, and manages the day-to-day affairs of the office, as well as the Dutch projects.
